A massive congratulations to Dan Huxley (pictured with club president Bill Lyon) who has retained the captaincy for the forthcoming 2018/19 season. Dan comes from good stock and is a 3rd generation Orrell RU player with Grandfather Bill, Dad Steven and Uncle Jeff playing at the highest levels in the amber and black.

Dan himself has proved to be a quality asset and has played for Orrell RUFC since the age of 14. He has also represented St Helens RL academy and more recently Rugby Union's Lancashire Royals open age.

He first captained Orrell RUFC 1XV as a 19 year old and over the past 2 years has matured immensely into a quality captain who leads by example both on and off the pitch. His attitude towards the coaches and his peers is exemplary hence him retaining the armband for the 2018/19 season.

Congratulations to Dan from everyone in the Orrell RUFC family - the future's black and amber
