ORRELL U10S VS ELLESMERE PARK U10S
Orrell U10s constant progression over the last few weeks hit another high today when the visiting team from South Wirral felt the full force of Orrell’s determination, desire and wiliness to show all supporters what they are actually capable of when minds are set in the correct manner, with a great defensive line, support play and attacking ability from anywhere on the field of play, Orrell produced their best game by far this season scoring 16 tries to 5, but the score line did not justify the opposition at all who on many occasions gave us a lesson in rucking and passing. "We would like to congratulate Ellesmere Port on a pleasant and well-mannered young bunch of lads" said Neil Bradley, Coach Orrell RUFC U10s.
It all started within the first minute when the powerful Tom crashed over taking 2 opposition players with him, the flood gates soon opened and Finn being his dazzling self, found the line at his feet to keep the momentum running at a fast pace, Thomas F then hit a brace with his speed and awareness of the game before the ever supporting winger Thomas K grabbed a quick double, tries were becoming regular with another brace from Thomas F, one each from Patrick (who assisted well today), Jack, Joe, Finn, Seb and Thomas F running in another 3 tries in between.
A great team spirit today commanded by captain Will, the tank Shay, the ever-improving Ben and having a much improved game Thomas W.
Well done team - the future is definitely black and amber!
