Cyril was a former 1st team player and then coached the Colts and various Junior teams before moving to Cumbria.

On moving to Cumbria Cyril joined Carlisle Rugby Club and was the driving force turning their colts team into a formidable force in the 1970s.

Cyril will be laid to rest on Friday 28th February 12:20 at Carlisle Crematorium.
