Nominations for Appointment to the Executive Committee of Orrell RUFC 2024 AGM

Each person nominated to stand for election to the Executive Committee must be a member of Orrell RUFC and nominated by another member. Other than the two conditions mentioned, there is no other criteria to join. New members are always welcome to join the Executive Committee and help in the management and running of our Club.

There are several roles for the Executive Committee that require nomination & election and several roles that are filled by volunteers with the relevant experience & skills (ie Communications Manager). The list below shows the elected roles & the current post holders.

Executive Roles:

• Club President
• Club Secretary
• Club Treasurer
• Safeguarding Officer
• Membership Secretary

Vacant Roles

• Commercial & Sponsorship Manager

The Chairman is elected by the other Executive Members from the newly elected Executive immediately after the AGM

Non-Elected Roles on the Executive Committee

• Rugby Safe Lead Andy Carroll
• General Executive Member Jim Lloyd
• General Executive Member Tony Havlin
• General Executive Member Dave Robinson
• General Executive Member Ian Hollis

In the event of more than one person being nominated for a role a vote shall be held at the AGM with all members having a vote.

In the event of tie last year’s Chair shall have casting vote.

Each role can have a deputy and anyone that isn’t successful in their preferred role can still be a General Member of the Executive Committee.
