3. Registering Your Child to Play with Orrell RUFC via GMS (Game Management System)

The RFU’s Game Management System (GMS) is the central online hub for rugby in England.

Every player, parent and club member will use it each season — so it’s important to know how it works.

What does GMS do?

 • Registers players and members
 • Allows you to purchase membership subscriptions
 • Holds coach and referee training records
 • Manages fixtures and results (15-a-side)
 • Stores key details such as medical information

Why it matters
Using GMS keeps all your details in one secure place and makes it easier for Orrell RUFC to organise teams, fixtures and communications.
It also ensures players are covered for insurance and eligible to play.
It’s the foundation of your rugby journey — building the future in Black & Amber.

Each season you must complete 3 simple steps:
• Register/Update your details – make sure your profile and your child’s profile (if applicable) are correct.

 • Purchase your club membership – required for all players and parents/guardians.

 • Pay player subscriptions – these can be paid separately or together with membership, depending on what suits you best.

 •
Tip: The whole process usually takes less than 10 minutes if you have your email address, date of birth and payment details ready.
